Teledyne
Scientific Company specializes in design and implementation of high
performance wireless networking technologies. These technologies
include high data rate tactical modem design, next generation
wireless network protocols, and distributed wireless sensor network
applications.
Our wireless
modem technology delivers cutting-edge physical
layer networking solutions for ultra-mobile wireless data communications,
achieving multi-megabit link capacities. Employing state-of-the-art
baseband signal reconstruction and Doppler phase corrective
techniques, Teledyne Scientific Company modems are used in
high data rate digital communications systems such as high-velocity
military aircraft.
We also
design highly efficient, scaleable, adaptive networking protocols
for OSI layers two through seven. Using state-of-the-art
simulation tools, we validate our complex protocol designs
using hyper-accurate network models and topologies, and implement
them
in hardware. Spatial and bandwidth efficient, self-organizing,
Space-Time Division Multiple Access (STDMA) protocols are
under
development for highly directional phased array antennas
enabling high bandwidth and jam and noise resistant communications
in
mobile environments.
By utilizing
these technologies, Teledyne Scientific Company Wireless Systems
develop and deploy end-user sensor network
systems for next generation
networking of sensor-centric data. Through corporate partner
alliances with Boeing, Rockwell Collins, and Rockwell Automation,
we develop high data rate RF modems and network protocols.
Through government funding sources DARPA, DTRA, AFRL, ONR,
and ARL,
we
develop wireless sensor networks for unconventional warfare
agent detection, ground troop detection and tracking,
and monitoring.
